Commission Terms

These terms provide a general guide for custom costume and prop enquiries. The final scope, price, payment schedule and timescale for a commission will be confirmed in writing before work begins.

Quotes and booking

  • A discussion or estimate does not create a booking.

  • Your quote will describe the agreed item, price, expected timescale and payment schedule.

  • A commission is booked only when the written quote is accepted and any payment requested in that quote has been received.

  • Quotes may be time-limited where material prices or availability could change.

Measurements and references

You are responsible for supplying accurate measurements, reference images and other requested details. Changes or missing information may affect fit, appearance, price or completion time.

Handmade work and changes

Every item is handmade, so small variations are part of the process. Changes requested after work begins may require a revised price and timescale. No significant change will be made without discussing it with you.

Timescales

Completion dates are estimates unless a specific written deadline is agreed. I will let you know as soon as reasonably possible if illness, supply problems or another unexpected issue may cause a delay.

Cancellations

Cancellation arrangements will be stated in your individual quote and depend on the stage reached, materials already purchased and whether work has begun. Bespoke goods made to your specification may have different cancellation rights from standard products. Nothing in these terms removes your statutory consumer rights.

Delivery and collection

Delivery or collection arrangements and costs will be agreed in writing. Please provide an accurate delivery address and report any damage or problem as soon as reasonably possible after receiving the item.

Use and safety

Costume pieces and props are not protective equipment or real weapons. They must be used responsibly and with appropriate adult supervision where relevant. Any care or use instructions supplied with the item should be followed.

Photos and sharing

I may photograph finished work for my portfolio and social media unless we agree otherwise in writing. Personal information will not be published without permission.
